Benefits From The Constraints Placed Upon Us

There are times in life when we are met with constraints — moments when burdens land upon us.

These moments hurt, and it’s okay to acknowledge that.

They suck, no doubt about it.

That’s why it’s so important to give ourselves the space and time to process them, some longer than others.

But eventually, we must find a way to move forward.

We have to ask ourselves: can we find meaning in what we’re going through?

We can adopt a mindset that says,

“This happened to me,” or “This happened for me. What can I learn from this?”

There is a version of ourselves that benefits from the constraints placed upon us.

Sometimes, we come to realize that what happened doesn’t have a direct link to what we eventually gain from it.

What truly matters is focusing on how we can learn, knowing that this constraint may have forced us to slow down, to pause long enough for something special to occur.

Only then can we finally see the thing we needed to see.
